Notice for the Assistance for Rescue and Recovery of the Earthquake Victims of Nepal

  1. The Government of Nepal has established a Fund entitled Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund for the peoples and organizations wishing to send financial assistance for the rescue and recovery of the victims of the devastating earthquake. The financial contribution can directly be sent to the bank accounts of the Fund as follows:

A copy of the bank receipt along with a covering letter can be sent to the Embassy of Nepal in Doha. The Embassy will update the list of donors contributing to the Fund.

  1. Everybody concerned are requested to inform the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Nepal (adm@mofa.gov.np, fso@mofa.gov.np; Tel: 00 977 1 4200182-85; Fax: 00 977 1 420061) and have necessary coordination with the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Kathmandu (Cell No.: 00 977 9851024514, 00 977 9851029457 and 0097779851102740; Tel: 0097715523200; Fax: 0097715523991 and Email: registry.np@undp.org) in regard to providing blankets, tents, dry foods and first aids as the emergency humanitarian assistance for the earthquake victims of Nepal.
  2. A Coordination and Facilitation Desk has been established at the TribhuvanInternational Airport, Kathmandu for extending necessary coordination and facilitation of the assistance provided for the rescue and relief operation. Everybody concerned  can contact the following persons in this connection:
